Fungus?: Separate ear infections or one refractory case? There may be a problem with middle ear drainage (ex. large adenoids) or immune deficiency making her susceptible to ear infections. If this is one infection refractory to treatment, may need ENT to aspirate some fluid and culture it to identify the cause. Antibiotics can enable fungal growth in the mouth, which could be a cause of bad breath.
