Hi left ring finger twitches rapidly and randomly for 10 seconds or more. husband told me that everyone gets this?? doubt it! what can cause this? saw a neurologist beginning of 2015.

I'm really curious: what the neurologist told you. It is really not possible to give a good answer in this setting. A detailed history, family history and physical exam is needed to evaluate your problem. Other tests might be needed. CT or MRI scan of the brain. Nerve Conduction studies, an EEG. These should all give more information about your condition, or show no abnormality with would be reassuring.

I have very minor twitching at base of left thumb (when I move the thumb closer to my index finger, it trembles a little). I jammed said thumb 2+ years ago. I'm right handed. Could that have caused this twitching? I have no known health issues.
