44f causes of stabbing pain in right temple. pain only lasts maybe 15 seconds but very scary. may have had in the past but not sure. brain tumor?

Hard to know: Physical exam and possibly blood tests (and more background information) needed to know for sure. Transient severe pain like this can be related to certain headache syndromes, vascular problems (such as temporal arteritis, which is serious), muscle spasm, nerve entrapment or other nerve problems.
