Cate bite: Bites from cats are polymicrobial, with a mix of aerobes and anaerobes. Common aerobic pathogens in cat bites include Streptococcus species (including Streptococcus pyogenes), Staphylococcus species, especially S. aureus and Moraxella. But Pasteurella multocida, a small cocco-baccilus is very very possible. You should see your PCP if it does not inprove in the next 48 hours.
