Evaluation Needed : There are many causes of knee pain and inflammation. A proper history, physical exam and any necessary imaging is obtained and reviewed a sufficient diagnosis can be made. Treatment may include but is not limited to ice, heat, massage, nsaid's, physical therapy, chiropractic, orthopedist, and pain management.

See below: Knee pain is most commonly caused by inflammation from bursitis, tendonitis, or cartilage degeneration. A good physical exam and possible imaging could be used to confirm the diagnosis. Less common causes of knee pain are irritated nerve roots from the lumbar spine, infection, or tumors. Treatment options will depend on the final diagnosis.
