A member asked:

Can inflammation in the knee cause burning pain? does a menisicus problem also cause burning pain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: Meniscal pain is typically sharp and severe. Also brought on with squatting or twisting. Burning is typically a descriptor i associate with nerve irritation. Around the inside if the knee, the saphenous nerve has been known to be a source of burning pain. Important to distinguish that this can have a tender spot that is several cm below the joint line where the meniscus would be.
