Vertigo: You may have benign positional vertigo (BPV) or a inner ear infection. These are the most common causes. More dangerous types of vertigo are considered central vertigo, which involves the brain, such as a cerebelar stroke. Have your PCP check your inner ear function, and check for nystagmus which is horizontal eye twitching which can be a clue for BPV.
