IBS & pelvic: Hi this is not unusual. Chronic pelvic pain syndrome is usually associated with IBS constipation or diarrhea dominant or mixed. The reason for this is the idea of "cross talk." The nervous system that controls the bowls are interrelated to the pelvic, and bladder function. It's this idea that can be the explanation. Usually pelvic pain is cyclic and last over 6 months associated with bowl issues.
