Head injuries: I have seen numerous patients with head injuries, but I have never seen one develop a craving for pepper or any other food or spice as a result of the head trauma. Some patients with certain types of seizures may experience a smell during the seizure,however,but this is different from your friend's craving. A neurologist is best qualified to answer your question.
