It is possible: Poor posture during exercise can be a factor in TMJ symptoms. For example, holding the head forward while jogging strains the muscles of the face and neck.

TMJ & exercise: If you clench your teeth during exercise it can increase existing TMJ pain. However, swollen glands are not a symptom of TMJ dysfunction. See your medical doctor or dentist to discover the cause of the swollen glands. It's possible that the pain in the TMJ area is due to an infection. If you have TMJ problems, wearing a bite guard during exercise may help alleviate the pain. Say your dentist.
