Meds/diet: You should be seen by a doctor for this. First, are you sure this is not cardiac? I would want to make sure this is reflux and not cardiac. In the meantime, you can take a medication like Prilosec 20mg twice a day but you should go see a doctor in either case to get evaluated. These are this things you don't want to self treat.
