She's got legs`: What makes you think that you have low albumin? Albumin is a protein molecule that among other things helps regulate the osmolarity of your blood. It pulls water from the tissue into the blood vessels and increases blood volume. If the albumin is low it's effect on the tissue fluid is decreased and your legs swell. You get protein molecules from your diet.
