CRP?: Do you CRP? The CRP is C-reactive protein and it is a non-specific marker for inflammation. It would be elevated in inflammatory diseases like rheumatoid arthritis or inflammatory bowel disease. It is also elevated in patients with coronary artery disease. It is not specific for any one condition so you need to ask your doctor what they were concerned about and why they ordered that test.
