A member asked:

Doctor i suffer chronic constipation due to neurological disease, how safe is taking bisacodyl tablets and using glycerine suppositories?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Very safe: It was once thought that taking daily stimulant laxatives could cause problems, but that is no longer thought to be true. An osmotic laxative, something that keeps water in the bowel rather than being completely absorbed, will also help.
