A member asked:

Could multiple system atrophy (msa) be caused by candida, or herpes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No evidence: Multiple system atrophy is a neurodegenerative disease. Sometimes it can present similarly to parkinson disease. Sometimes there can be prominent cerebellar signs. There can often be autonomic nervous system signs--extreme blood pressure changes, urinary issues. There is no evidence that it is caused by any infection.
