No harm until 48 hrs: Its usually OK to have intercourse in the weeks before your colposcopy. However, abstain at least 48 hours prior as intercourse can make make it harder for your doc to do the colposcopy due to intercourse related changes on the cervix. Same goes for tampons. Best wishes!
