Continued sex is OK: HPV sometimes lies dormant and then causes pap smear abnormalities years later. This is much more likely than a new infection. Since you have been having regular sex with your husband, he has already been repeatedly exposed and undoubtedly infected, and likely his immune system has already eliminated the virus. There is no need to stop having sex, either for your health or his.
