i've been being treated by a colon rectal surgeon for internal hemorrhoids, would they be able to tell if i had proctitis and diagnose it by examining you?

Two different issues: Proctitis is by definition an inflammatory condition of the rectum. This is a very different scenario than hemorrhoids. Is there some question as to your diagnosis?
