Unrelated: These symptoms may be unrelated to the antibiotic. Muscle pains and aches are not common side effects of Azithromycin. These symptoms are not usually the only symptoms for pneumonia. I would keep an eye on him and if he's not better in 2-3 days, or if he's getting sicker or feverish, see his doctor.
