Safe: Flonase contains steroids but systemic absorption is minimal. Its effects on the immunity is close to negligible. Best wishes

No infection risk: Although Flonase is now over the counter, would still recommend use based on physician recommendation. It may not be the most effective treatment for certain causes of chronic rhinitis. I am unaware of any controlled studies or after-market reports of an increase in infection with use. Respiratory infections can slightly increase with inhaled steroids. More common se is bleeding if used improperly
