Possible arthritis: The cracking might be "crepitus" which is seen in patients with advanced arthritis. If there is no history of trauma, you could try considering the use of an nsaid and/or Tylenol (acetaminophen). You might also try some therapy. If these treatments fail, consider a wrist intrarticular steroid injection. Might want to get some xray to document the arthritis. If all this fails, consider getting a wrist MRI.

See specialist: Painful cracking of the wrist suggests some pathology in the wrist. See a hand doctor. If you have painless cracking, this is not unusual.
