What options aside from anticonvulsants are there for nerve pains. i hate anticonvulsants and amytriplyn made me feel worse. what's my options?

Suggestions: Nerve pain medicines include Lyrica, gabapentin, Gralise, Horizant, Cymbalta, and possibly Savella (milnacipran). The last two would not be used for epilepsy, but Lyrica and gabapentin could be employed as AED's. Nucynta is an approved opioid for diabetic origin "nerve pain". Would not suggest amitryptiline anymore due to side effects and lack of efficacy.
