May need antibiotics: If your symptoms are indeed caused by a UTI, you should be started on an antibiotic. This will require a prescription and could be managed thru a consult on HealthTap. In the meantime, increase your fluid intake, avoid caffeine and alcohol and use cranberry and/or blueberry juice to decrease bacterial adherence to to lining of the urinary tract. You may find OTC products to help with the pain.

OTCs: Drink plenty of fluids, and may use OTC Azo, tylenol (acetaminophen) or motrin type meds as necessary, but if no better in 2 days or so, or getting worse, need to see a health care provider, even may be an urgent care clinic.
