A member asked:

I am having cold during summer.what does that mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

That means you're...: You're not alone. Colds are caused by viruses passed from one person to another. If one person catches a cold, then somebody else around him must have had a cold too. It's not unusual to catch a cold in the summer, although it is more common in the winter. Strep throat can have symptoms similar to cold symptoms. A doctor can do a throat swab to check for strep throat (treatable with amoxicillin).
