Humidity: It sounds like your child has thick secretions. I'm not sure what Acc 200 is, but please do not use any cold medicines on a child so young. It will not work, and the side effects are dangerous. If your child is coughing, try a humidifier or a room with steam (run a hot shower). Nasal saline wash may also be helpful. If he/she is sick, not eating, having trouble breathing, please see a doctor!

Mgt/workup: I would suggest using nasal saline since babies breathe through their noses. The thick secretions may be post nasal drip. Always feed at an angle. If there is any fever 100.4 or more, a workup is indicated. Cough due to cold symptoms typically resolve during the course of ten days.

Thick saliva: You can try saline nose drops to help clear the mucus from the throat but please take him to his pediatrician. Good luck
