Will zpack help an asthmatic with bronchitis get better or do you have to just ride it out?

No: You may need an inhaled steroid or other medications to control your asthma. Z pak (azithromycin) is not intended for treating asthma but may be used if a bacterial bronchitis is suspected. See your doctor very very soon.
