A few days: The main symptoms are discharge and sometimes uncomfortable or painful urination. Both should start to improve within 2-3 days, but it may take 7-10 days to clear entirely. If you still have either symptom more than 10 days after single-dose azithromycin, or a few days after finishing 7 day treatment, return to the doctor or clinic for reevaluation. No sex until it's all sorted out.
