Nasal irritation: Dust/molds are common causes of nasal mucosal irritation and I suspect post-nasal drainage as the cause of vocal cord irritation in this case. Allergic sensitivity is less likely possibility. Nsaid could help with vocal cord swelling. Mucinex (guaifenesin) would be ineffective (nor is it the cause). Antihistamine dry the drip (chlorpeniramine may work best, but sedating). saline rinse to remove irritants
