Needs Evaluation: The cleaning most likely caused some bleeding causing a blood clot and blocking the canal. You should go back to your physician and have him/her reevaluate your daughter and remove the blood clot. They should check the ear drum as well and make sure there isn't any injury.

It happens: The removal of wax, even with our plastic tools can scratch the canal and lead to bleeding. This is not unusual & if the physician was still able to visualize the ear drum at the time there is no urgency to do something. The bleeding should not be more than what would cover a few q-tips.Body temperature water squirted into the canal can clear the blood. If this spooks you have a recheck.
