How does warfarin react to peridex (chlorhexidine gluconate) are there any side effects?

No interactions: Peridex (chlorhexidine gluconate) is an antimicrobial mouth rinse to treat gums disease. It will not interact with warfarin. It is important to keep your mouth and gums healthy while you are on warfarin.

Should be none-check: Check with your physician or pharmacist. Warfarin is a blood thinner and peridex (chlorhexidine gluconate) is an antimicrobial rinse. Peridex (chlorhexidine gluconate) contains alcohol so if you are sensitive to alcohol check with your physician first. Are there any other medications that you are taking? Remember, there is a systemic response between heart disease, diabetes and periodontal disease.
