Could be from spine?: If it is worse with movement, bending, lifting, coughing or sneezing, it may be from a disc or bone spur in your lumbar spine pinching a nerve. Burning pain usually means a nerve is the cause, esp. w/ numbness +/- tingling. This location may be the upper lumbar spine. Low back causes usually better lying down. MRI could provide more details, and you may also investigate cause at PainSpot.com
