ER visit: If the pain is unbearable, it needs to be evaluated. I'd recommend an ER or an urgent care with imaging possibilities, or at the very least, consulting with your primary doc. It sounds like you could have a herniated disk or other cause of sciatica. Other possibilities are an intestinal process or a kidney stone, among others.
