I have a lot of pain when i cough or sneeze to the right of my belly button. if i push in my stomache when i cough it doesn't hurt as bad. i just had an exploratory surgery a month ago and they fixed other stuff but not this and its been going on for yea

What you are describing sounds like it could be a hernia, however, this would have been seen during exploratory surgery 1 month ago. I recommend that you return to see your surgeon and describe these symptoms so that a formal exam can be performed. We are a "hands-on" profession and nothing can replace a careful physical examination. Good luck!

This is likely just normal postoperative pain, but it could be a sign of a hernia. If you notice a bulge in or around your belly button, see your physician.
