Vit A vs β-Carotene: Vitamin A is a group of fat soluble unsaturated nutritional organic compounds, that includes retinol, retinoic acid, & several provitamin A carotenoids (beta-carotene is the most important). β-Carotene is a colored red-orange pigment abundant in plants and fruits. Beta-carotene is good for vision, immunity, and overall health. Overuse can cause hair loss, confusion, liver damage and bone loss.
