Hives: Itchy red blotches that seem to migrate or appear in new areas over the course of a day is consistent with hives. This commonly occurs after an exposure of some kind and they resolve quickly. If symptoms also include wheezing/shortness of breath, nausea/vomiting/diarrhea, dizziness/fogginess, or low blood pressure; then it is anaphylaxis (severe life threatening allergic reaction).
