You sound down: Wow- this sounds like a depressed person is asking this question. This type of pessimism comes from despair. Conquering depression is much like running up a down elevator. If you don't try you are guaranteed to stay at the bottom. Even when you work at it, you will backslide and become frustrated when you do lose ground. But reaching the top makes it worth while.

Multiple approach: Therapy combined with antidepressant medication is just a start. It doesn't sit we'll with people but it works very well. I have had a lot of success when we work as a team to break the cycle of despair. Good luck. The fact that you're asking is demonstrating that you want to take measures to overcome this. Sadness is a part of life and is normal. Depression doesn't have to be.
