Get help: Do something that you enjoy just for yourself every day. Get plenty of sunlight. Get plenty of rest and regular exercise. If your symptoms continue to worsen, consider seeing a counselor or physician. It is often very helpful to have an impartial person to talk with. A physician knowledgeable about treating depression with medication could be very helpful.

Depression: Please schedule an appointment with a counselor. Also get a check-up by PCP since some medical conditions mimic depression. Avoid isolation. If possible, try to do some form of charity that keeps you in contact with other well-meaning people. Regular exercise, like walking or bicycling, can lift your mood, too. If you cannot manage any of the above and you feel very depressed, go to ER.

Agree with excellent: recommendations you already received. Your Dr can assess for mood disorder & causative underlying medical conditions. Talking therapy (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or insight oriented psychotherapy) is allows for lasting change. Psychiatric meds may be indicated. Don't isolate. Spend time w people. Use your support system. Get out. Get at least 8 hrs of sleep/ night & eat healthfully. Daily >
