Shoulder: Tendinitis is more likely. Nerves usually do not get trapped in the shoulder area unless there is extensive surgical intervention and a lot of scarring. You should rest it for about 4 weeks and then go for physical therapy. Exercising an inflamed tendon prevents it from healing and causes pain as well.
