A member asked:

What is the remedy for a hepatitis b infection?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Antiviral therapy: Not everybody with chronic hepatitis b infection needs to be treated. It is important to go to a doctor who has experience with hbv management. If someone does need treatment, Entecavir and tenofovir are very powerful and well-tolerated medications that prevent the hbv from making copies of itself. Once started, they may need to be taken for many years. Both can reduce the risk of liver disease.
