Medicines like: Prevacid (lansoprazole) takes 4 days to take full effect in terms of blocking stomach acid. But your symptoms may not be consistent with gastritis. People don't often have bloating and fullness with gastritis. You may have gastroparesis, SIBO, or functional dyspepsia. Your doctor can help tell which you have.
