My periods for the last three days have been very light and the then they stop after a couple of hours but today it was kinda of heavy but now its stopping. what could be wrong and should i go to the er?

Infections & hormonal changes can cause spotting. If concerned then do a home pregnancy test. There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. The ER is not likely to be helpful for period variation
