A member asked:

I'm 17 and my periods are super irregular it like it will happen and then stop for a few months but now it has been like 6+ months since i have had one am i a last bloomer like my mother who started hers at 17 or is there something wrong with my body?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe nothing wrong: Periods are often irregular when patients start there first cycles especially after age 16. You don't say when your periods first started, but if they started at ages 11 to 13 then you need to see MD to find out why this menstrual pattern is occurring. If they just started at age 16 or 17 like your mother, it may be genetic and time will solve the problem, after all you are now here on earth.
