Eczema: You must find the cause and if possible remove it. Eczema is not a specific disease, but inflammation from whatever cause confined to the epidermis, with cell swelling and death in patches. The most common variant is in the flexural creases of elbows and knees. Many rx's; topical steroids such as over-the-counter Hydrocortisone can be very helpful especially under saran-wrap.

Eczema therapy: Cerave, cetaphil and aveeno (oatmeal) carry wonderful over the counter eczema care products. Topical steroids are used as well.
