A member asked:

Hi doctor i recently had an mri on my abdominal and was wondering if it could detect pancreatic cancer if any?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

MRI: Provides relatively high resolution images of your abdominal organs, but it can miss small structures. Regardless, at your age the risk of pancreatic cancer is very very small. A special MRI called an MRCP actually takes better pictures of the pancreas and liver as well as their ducts.
