Renal atrophy: Renal atrophy can happen to single or bilateral kidneys. First you need to consider whether it is due to congenital renal dysplasia. Uremia, Acute Glomerular Disease, Diabetic Nephrosclerosis, rejection reaction of kidney transplant, Chronic Glomerulonephritis, renal cortical necrosis, Alport Syndrome, acute renal tubular necrosis, Hypertensive Nephrosclerosis...etc.
