A member asked:

Iron panel- uibc: 109 (low), iron serum: 170 (high), iron saturation: 61% (high), tibc: normal, ferritin: 40 (normal). what can cause this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

May be normal: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, there does not seem to be anything extraordinary in your lab results. Generally it is a good idea to treat the person and not the lab results.
