Depends on cause: Many stomach aches will get better on their own with time. Gas pain, gallstone pain, reflux etc may last for 20 min to a couple hours and then resolve. Acid diseases (gastritis, gerd, ) may be temporarily relieved by Tums (calcium carbonate) etc. Any stomach ache that lasts longer than 3-4 hours or doesn't resolve with over the counter meds should be evaluated by your md.

How can you get rid of a lithium stomach ache?

Change to liquid: I had one patient who responded to a switch from Lithium Carbonate to lithium citrate, the liquid form. Using liquid allows you to precisely titrate the dose so that you can increase the dose in smaller increments. She was able to go back to the pills or capsules once she had become accustomed to her lithium dose in the citrate form.
