Try antacids.: An initial first step would be to try antacids, such as Tums, (calcium carbonate) or even acid-reducing medications such as ranitidine or Cimetidine . Be sure to follow the directions on the bottle and do not take more than it is recommended. See your doctor if your symptoms persist.
