Full term: At 38 weeks you are considered full term and at that point you could technically be ready to go into labor at any point. Since your OB can feel that you are 1cm dilated, this is not terribly unusual at your stage. Although the baby might be sitting right on your cervix, he/she may still still there for another 2+ weeks, OR they may come out any day now. it's certainly the Great Waiting Game!
