Cost of care: Was a treatment plan presented to you before the root canal was started? You have crown lengthening, a post and a crown that need to be completed. The temp does not protect the tooth from decay, so delaying the procedure for anything more than a short while can cause the tooth to decay.

Lab-made plastic: These crowns are not meant to last for a long time. In some cases, however, a temporary crown can stay in place for a year or even longer. If it needs to last longer, a lab-made plastic crown is best. Ask your dentist for lab made temps.
